About Me!!! Not much
to tell, I love to cook, and I love sitting in my backyard doing nothing. Cooking is a stress reliever for me so after
a long dragged out day, tenderizing a piece of steak turns into a full-course
meal. I am a mother of two and a
grandmother of two (all girls). My
parents are from the South, but my Dad did a majority of the cooking. There was not a time I could remember him not
having the stove-top pressure cooker
going or the slow cooker set to all day.
I learned to cook by osmoses; I use to sit at the kitchen table doing my
homework while my Dad cooked. I created
this blog for my own personal enjoyment; I do not profess to be a chef, a food
expert or a food critic. All of my
recipes and ingredients are my own personal preferences. Many I perfected by trial and error, I do not endorse
one brand over another, and all of my measurements are guestimates. I don't
know one person in my family (my father had double digit siblings) who used a
measuring spoon or cup. You are just
supposed to know when enough is enough. I love all my fat in my food, but I do
use substitutes when I feel like it. I
know it's not healthy, but I figure since I run miles regularly, eat in
moderation and refuse to increase my dress size, I should be fine. This is not the norm for many so please, I
say, please STAY HEALTHY!
